Here’s a list of all the things that you can get for free at Walt Disney World!
FREE WI-FI
Location: Parks, Resorts, Water Parks and Disney Springs
This is a no-brainer for those who have been to the parks before, but as a first-timer…this is a game changer! You get free Wi-Fi on Disney Property, but it comes with a few things that you should know.
- Wi-Fi in your Disney Resort hotel room is by far the best!
- General areas are glitchy and often become overwhelmed with the sheer number of folks trying to connect
- Anything LIVE will be impacted by the strength of the signal. If you’re doing LIVE…then hang out by a restaurant or a building vs in the open pathways.
- iMessage connects via Wi-Fi, so you don’t have to worry if you’re on Airplane mode.

So this is not only a free tip, but it’s also something that you have to take advantage of during the Florida heat!
The skinny is that there are ways to get free H2O at the Disney Parks. This will allow you to save time trying to find water fountains and money by not having to buy bottled water. Win Win!

PHOTOPASS
Have you ever experienced the horror of giving your camera to a stranger and asking them to take a photo of your family at a place like Niagara Falls or the Hollywood Sign and having to explain how to push the red button?
Disney listened and they introduced Photopass. The photographers are not only packing a solid DSLR setup, which works if you’ve purchased the Memory Maker package, but they are also great at taking photos with your own camera.
We’ve bought Memory Maker a number of times for our vacations and recently got it as a perk for being an Annual Passholder, but the number of times that I’ve asked a photographer to grab a photo for an instagram or Facebook photo will actually surprise you! Ask, because it’s well worth it!

DISNEY TRANSPORTATION
So this is a regular question that I get: “Can I still use Disney buses if I’m staying off-property?”
Yes, yes you can. Disney buses, Disney Skyliner, boats, monorails…they’re all free to utilize. The only added surcharge that Disney offers currently is the Minnie Van Program, so at least you have an option just in case:)
