Who’s the leader of the club that’s made for you and me?
M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E!
Meeting Mickey Mouse at Disney World is not just another thing to do…it’s so much more important than that!
There are plenty of options to meet the Head Cheese, from classic meet & greets to character dining experiences and many other spots. Not every situation is made equal, so let’s take some time to explain in depth…
Where Can You Find Mickey Mouse at Disney World?
- Character Meet & Greets
- Character Dining Experiences
- Parades & In Park Experiences
- Parties and Extra Ticketed Events
TOWN SQUARE THEATRE

Location: Main Street USA at Magic Kingdom
Costume: Magician & Talking.
Genie+: Available
Please Note: Minnie has moved into this meet & greet with Mickey for the time being, but make sure that you’re aware of this before visiting! Mickey’s lost his voice for now:(
Strategy: Quite simply, if you want to meet Magician Mickey and ONLY Mickey Mouse, this is the experience for you. During the day the lines are fairly substantial, but after the sun goes down and the families start to make their way back to the resorts, it’s reasonable!
ADVENTURERS OUTPOST

Location: Discovery Island at Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Costume: Safari Gear
Genie+: Available
Strategy: This is the only scheduled opportunity to meet Mickey and Minnie together in the same room at the same time. Genie+ isn’t recommended, as there are better experiences in the park to prioritize and you can get a better character meet and greet at EPCOT or Magic Kingdom!
RED CARPET DREAMS

Location: Commissary Lane at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Costume: Sorcerer Mickey
Genie+: Not Available
Strategy: Always fun to meet Sorcerer Mickey, and because you get to meet Minnie in her Tinsel Town Starlet outfit as well…it’s a fun time! I tend to find shorter lines around Dinner and when it’s raining, but as Hollywood Studios is undergoing their renovations – you can never really predict what will happen!
CHARACTER DINING EXPERIENCES
Pretty standard, but don’t expect to see photographers following the characters at a Character Meal. We’ve asked multiple character attendants and the main reason is the close proximity of other guests, which would interfere with the standard of photos that the photographers can take. It’s also a privacy issue because of the sheer number of kids and families around that would end up in official Disney images.
If you’re wanting to take photos with the characters, expect a ton of selfies OR do what we do…and strike a deal with the table next to yours and you’ll be able to get photos with everyone in them.
TUSKER HOUSE
Location: Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Costume: Safari
Other Characters: Daisy, Goofy, Donald
Strategy: We had a blast at our reservation at Tusker House, but we also saw the potential of being incredibly lucky with where we were sitting and our reservation time (11am). The food is definitely worth the price, so when you bring in characters…even better!

CHEF MICKEY’S
Location: Contemporary Resort
Costume: Chef
Other Characters: Minnie, Pluto, Donald and Goofy
Strategy: I’m not a huge fan of this experience, but with any dining at Disney…it’s completely subjective! The food wasn’t worth the price and the characters felt rushed because of the set-up of the dining room. HOWEVER, there’s nothing better than meeting Mickey and watching the monorail rail-ing through the resort.

MICKEY’S BACKYARD BBQ (DINNER)
Location: Ft. Wilderness Campsites
Reservations are Required
Other Characters: Minnie Mouse, Goofy & Chip ‘n Dale
Strategy: Because this is only available a few nights a week, it’s all about luck (to be honest). The only reason why I put it on the list was because I’ve heard awesome things about the overall ambience!
‘OHANA (BREAKFAST)
Location: Polynesian Village Resort
Reservations are Required (and incredibly difficult to get)
Other Characters: Pluto and Lilo & Stitch
Strategy: We’re not fans of breakfast buffets…but this is the exception because you’re able to start your day off at the Polynesian with Mickey Waffles AND the mouse himself!
GARDEN GRILL

Location: Future World at EPCOT
Costume: Farmer
Other Characters: Pluto and Chip ‘n Dale
Strategy: SO MUCH FOOD! We did have a memorable time, and the characters aren’t rushed too bad, but when you’re thinking about the best backdrops…the top floor of this restaurant just missed the mark. We left the meal wishing that we had done Tusker House instead (to be honest)

HOLLYWOOD AND VINE
Location: Echo Lake @ Disney’s Hollywood Studios
