PLANNING TIPS AND TOOLS

For successful vacation planning, follow these key strategies:
Book Early: Make travel and resort hotel reservations at least 6 months in advance for best availability and pricing, especially during peak seasons.
Theme Park Tickets: Most guests purchase date-based tickets, which no longer require park reservations (as of January 2024). Simply choose your start date when purchasing, and you’re set to visit any park each day of your ticket.
Annual Passholders Note: If you have an Annual Pass, you still need park reservations except when visiting after 2:00 PM (excluding Magic Kingdom on weekends) or on designated “Good-to-Go” days.
Dining Reservations: If you want special dining experiences, book up to 60 days in advance (Disney resort guests) or 30 days (other guests). Popular character dining and signature restaurants fill quickly.
Lightning Lane System: Disney’s paid skip-the-line service has three options:
- Lightning Lane Multi Pass ($15-$39 per person per day): Access to multiple attractions
- Lightning Lane Single Pass ($10-$25 per attraction): Individual high-demand rides
- Lightning Lane Premier Pass ($129-$449 per person per day): Any participating attraction, any time (no return times needed)
My Disney Experience App: Download this essential app for mobile food ordering, Lightning Lane purchases, wait times, and managing all your reservations.
Flexible Planning: Build flexibility into your schedule. Weather, crowd levels, and unexpected closures can affect your plans.
