10 Disney World Tips Everyone Should Know

If you’re thinking about going on a vacation, Disney World will be one of the top locations to consider. Every year, millions of travellers choose Orlando for their escape from reality and a great memory to tell your friends and family!

Want to make sure that your trip will be memorable? I’ve got you covered for the ultimate Disney World Tips!

Let’s play:)

When you’re heading to the Magic Kingdom or any of the Disney theme parks, you may think that you’re going to be stuck in lines for the entire day. In fact, you’re going to be shocked at how many things there are to do.

If you’re into coasters and thrills, you’ll have your “to-do list”. Same thing if you’re into dark rides and even stuff for the kids…but there’s so much more!

You’ll have a plethora of options to take part in, from world-class live entertainment to fun nightlife and great dining options.

When you get off the plane, grab your bags and head to a transportation option of your choice…but try to keep your excitement in check. It’s so easy to overdo your vacation that will make you need another vacation when you get home!

What can you do to stay prepared?

Wear shoes that are actually comfy and suitable for daytime walking. Just walking around the World Showcase at EPCOT is 1.2 miles, and that’s only a part of a single theme park.

Secondly, you should be sure to pack sunscreen and sunglasses and…actually wear them! If you’re travelling between March and October, you’re going to be hitting temps that will be uncomfortable to folks not acclimated to the weather.

Last thing to remember is that it’s your responsibility to stay hydrated. You should be drinking plenty of water throughout the day, so know where you can get your free H2O. You really don’t want to get dehydrated when you can prevent it with a little extra Air Conditioning;)

In the theme parks, you’re able to see shows like Festival of the Lion King and Beauty and the Beast: Live on Stage…but that’s just scratching the surface.

Remember to look outside the parks, as some of the resorts provide Grade-A entertainment that you can only find at Walt Disney World!

Walt Disney World has become a must-see spot for amazing dining with nearly every type of cuisine available at every price point you could want.

Wanting a fancy steakhouse? What about a 10-course fixed price meal? There’s so much to think about, so planning ahead of time will help out!

If you’re a foodie, make sure to check out our dining articles to get a few ideas but remember to take each and every single review out there on the Internet (like Yelp & Trip Advisor) as a grain of salt in your overall decision. Food is so subjective and can be influenced by so many things, including allergies, price and tastes.

Just like any location, there’s a “bucket list” to create even more memories! These may push you out of your comfort zone or even take a little bit of extra budgeting…but it’s all part of the appeal of Walt Disney World!

Have you ever wanted to see the Utilidors under Magic Kingdom? Check out the Keys to the Kingdom Tour.

What about taking your shot at Disney Golf and their FootGolf offering? Playing soccer on a golf course just seems to go hand in hand!

Remember to book in advance and check out sites like Groupon, because you’re more likely to grab better discounts if you book in advance.

Thinking about taking your instagram game to the next level? Well you may actually be rewarded by social media managers and PR folks for invites to influencer-only events.

Using hashtags and geo-tagging your instagram or Facebook photos before, during and after your trip will get you noticed by folks who have the keys to the kingdom (figuratively and literally lol!)

Did you know that you can do a ton of stuff at Walt Disney World without actually paying for theme park tickets?

From Disney Springs to Disney Resorts, you’re able to get the full “Disney Magic” just by being on property and exploring the festivities. Free things to do at Disney…yea!

Your resort is the key to all your decisions during your vacation, so choose wisely. One of the best tips at Walt Disney World is to know where to stay to get the best amenities and nightlife, as you’re more than likely not going to be at the resort all that often.

Each resort definitely has it’s own theming, so think about the style in addition to price.

The other thing to keep in mind is that the Walt Disney World Resort is HUGE! Each hotel has a different location and transportation challenges, so hop on Google Maps and see how long the drive is from the resort to the park.

After working at Walt Disney World for a contract in the Canadian Pavilion at EPCOT and then subsequent trips with family, friends and solo adventures…there’s a huge different between going in-season and off-season.

Most of the parks are quieter in months that don’t have big holidays or times when kids are off school, so if you’re looking at saving money and having less stress…be flexible with your travel plans.

When you’re booking a trip to Disney, you’re basically saying that you want to experience everything that Disney has to offer! From great food, memorable attractions and awesome shopping.

With any vacation, it’s all about knowing where to look for more information that’s trustworthy and real WITHOUT any strings attached. That’s what you’re getting from spending time on the StepsToMagic.com website:)
