PACE YOURSELF
When you get off the plane, grab your bags and head to a transportation option of your choice…but try to keep your excitement in check. It’s so easy to overdo your vacation that will make you need another vacation when you get home!
What can you do to stay prepared?
Wear shoes that are actually comfy and suitable for daytime walking. Just walking around the World Showcase at EPCOT is 1.2 miles, and that’s only a part of a single theme park.
Secondly, you should be sure to pack sunscreen and sunglasses and…actually wear them! If you’re travelling between March and October, you’re going to be hitting temps that will be uncomfortable to folks not acclimated to the weather.
Last thing to remember is that it’s your responsibility to stay hydrated. You should be drinking plenty of water throughout the day, so know where you can get your free H2O. You really don’t want to get dehydrated when you can prevent it with a little extra Air Conditioning;)

In the theme parks, you’re able to see shows like Festival of the Lion King and Beauty and the Beast: Live on Stage…but that’s just scratching the surface.

Your resort is the key to all your decisions during your vacation, so choose wisely. One of the best tips at Walt Disney World is to know where to stay to get the best amenities and nightlife, as you’re more than likely not going to be at the resort all that often.
Each resort definitely has it’s own theming, so think about the style in addition to price.
The other thing to keep in mind is that the Walt Disney World Resort is HUGE! Each hotel has a different location and transportation challenges, so hop on Google Maps and see how long the drive is from the resort to the park.

GO IN THE OFF-SEASON
After working at Walt Disney World for a contract in the Canadian Pavilion at EPCOT and then subsequent trips with family, friends and solo adventures…there’s a huge different between going in-season and off-season.
