Disney Resorts are full of secrets and tips that will make your stay even more magical, and one of the biggest tips that we can share involves the internal transportation at Walt Disney World.
We know that Disney Bus Transportation is a growing issue as the Walt Disney World Resort gets bigger and more complex, but did you know that there are internal bus loops and buses that stop at multiple resorts?
ALL STAR RESORTS
This has been a frustrating topic, as it changes with the seasons and can be one of the most unpredictable situations. We’re talking about the Disney’s All Star Resorts, which are value category and are typically the busiest for groups.

Three separate resorts:
- All Star Movies # of Rooms = 1920
- All Star Music # of Rooms = 1604
- All Star Sports # of Rooms = 1920
Put that into comparisson with some of the other resorts, like the Grand Floridian @ 867 rooms and Pop Century @ 2880 rooms…you would think that each resort would have their own dedicated bus to and from the theme parks.
There are times during the year that you would be so wrong! From personal experience, on our recent November trip…yes, after Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party started (and sold out nights), we were on buses that went to “The All Star Resorts”, which stops at Sports, Movies and then Music.
Know before you go, because UBER may be a good option if you see giant lines!
RESORT INTERNAL BUSES
On top of buses that take you from the Theme Parks (or Disney Springs) to your Resort, there are internal routes that you may have to take once you get to your property.
- Animal Kingdom Lodge – 2 Internal Bus Stops
- Coronado Springs – 4 Internal Bus Stops
- Old Key West -5 Internal Bus Stops
- Saratoga Springs – 5 Internal Bus Stops
- Caribbean Beach Resort – 8 Internal Bus Stops

RESORTS THAT SHARE BUS LOOPS
- Port Orleans (Riverside & French Quarter) will share buses. One stop for French Quarter and then four stops at Riverside.
- Boardwalk, Yacht Club and Beach Club will often share buses. There are also hiccups with those resorts possibly stopping at the Swan & Dolphin, but that gives you a chance to stop off and play some mini golf! 😉
- Monorail Resorts (Contemporary, Polynesian Village and the Grand Floridian) also share buses, so when you’re planning on going to Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios…be prepared!
Hope that this helps with your trip planning! I’ve been caught off guard in previous vacations, so information like this is useful when you’re thinking about walking from Saratoga Springs to Disney Springs…and not walking throughout the entire resort in the July heat!
