When you’re with your significant other, every day at Walt Disney World is magical! I know it’s super cheesy, but when you’re spending 24/7 with each other during a vacation, there’s a difference between a regular day and a “Date Night”. After helping so many couples plan their special evenings (and experiencing quite a few myself!), I’ve updated our guide with even more magical ideas.
Classic Date Night Favorites
Watch Happily Ever After

Find a spot on Main Street USA and get ready to be amazed through Disney storytelling at its finest…with fireworks and projection mapping technology on Cinderella Castle! Keep the phone/camera in your pocket and just enjoy each other’s company, because it’s those moments that truly make a Disney vacation memorable!
(Quick tip: If Main Street feels too crowded, head to the train station platform – you’ll get a perfect view of both the castle and the fireworks!)
World Showcase Stroll
I can’t say it enough, but the World Showcase is a completely different experience after the sun goes down. Most of the families end up at the Magic Kingdom, which allows for lighter crowds at EPCOT. Grab an adult beverage (alcoholic or not) and explore the inner workings of the pavilions!
Some new favorite spots to add to your evening:
- La Cava del Tequila in Mexico (their avocado margarita is getting rave reviews!)
- The second floor of the Japan pavilion for a quiet moment
- The Canadian waterfall, because why not eh?
The Boardwalk
The first time that someone asked me about the boardwalk and Jellyrolls, I thought they were asking me about recommendations for doughnuts! After doing a little research, I realized that a duelling piano bar on the Boardwalk with Disney folks 21+ requesting the most obscure songs….is perfect for any fun evening after the parks!
There’s more fun stuff on the Boardwalk, but know before you go that you will be eating alot!
Pandora Stroll
When you see photos and videos from guests visiting Pandora: The World of Avatar after the sun goes down, you’re only getting a percentage of the wonder! Imagineers designed the newest addition at Disney’s Animal Kingdom to be as memorable as you could even dream!
Like cmon, how many bioluminescent lights did they really need?

New Additions to Our Date Night List
The Monorail Mixology Tour
Here’s a fun way to level up your evening – start at the Enchanted Rose Lounge in the Grand Floridian (the Beauty and the Beast theming is gorgeous), then take the monorail to Trader Sam’s at the Polynesian. If you time it right, you can end your night at California Grill for those amazing Magic Kingdom fireworks views!
Aerophile – Characters in Flight
Want to see Disney in a whole new way? Take a trip in the world’s largest hand-painted helium balloon to 400 feet over Disney Springs for an 8-10 minute flight of fantasy! Seriously, you’ll want to do this, and at $20 per adult, the price is reasonable for a date night to remember!
Splitsville
After going on a balloon ride that’ll take you 400 feet in the air, you’ll want to get set for a fun evening of good eats and fun competition…and that’s where Splitsville comes in! From pizza to sushi, the chefs at the luxury bowling alley are a group that you should trust to take good care of your night! Opened in 2012, the 50,000 square foot entertainment facility provides so much more than you could want, so keep it on your ‘to-do’ list for a Date Night!
Personally, I think a date night at the Virgin Megastore would be more relevant in 2025 than ever before…did you know that they had stacks upon stacks of books? I don’t know if y’all are like my household, but a date just isn’t a date unless we find time at a bookstore.

Share a Specialty Drink
We may (or may not) be alone on this one, but I like Dole Whips and my partner likes LeFou’s Brew. Being that a Date Night can happen at 2pm in the afternoon, sharing a frozen beverage from Gaston’s Tavern or in Pandora is a fun treat! Plus, who shares a Dole Whip?! 😉
Thursday-Saturday Nights at The Edison
The Edison, which you may know as the newly minted themed restaurant at Disney Springs has a secret… It has a special surprise that happens after 10pm from Thursday to Saturday nights. I would spoil it, but there are some things that you just want to put on your list without really knowing exactly what you’re getting into. BTW, there is a dress code for this timeframe, so dress to impress!

New Hidden Gems to Try
Animal Kingdom Lodge Savanna Viewing
Here’s something most people don’t know – you don’t need to be staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge to visit! Head over in the evening, grab drinks at Victoria Falls Lounge, then borrow the night vision goggles to spot animals on the savanna. The fire pit area is perfect for evening animal sightseeing afterward.
OR you can also wander inside the the Saana lounge and get a Bread Service and everyone goes home happy!
Port Orleans Evening Stroll

Take the boat from Disney Springs to Port Orleans French Quarter, grab some fresh beignets, then enjoy the romantic walkway to Riverside. The grounds are gorgeous at night, and it’s one of the most budget-friendly ways to spend an evening!
Or you can just get more beignets. That’ll work too!
Romantic Restaurants Worth Considering
Disney is so much more than basic theme park fare. Some newer spots to consider:
- Topolino’s Terrace (the views are incredible!)
- Space 220 (for an out-of-this-world experience)
- The revamped Citricos at the Grand Floridian
- Jiko at Animal Kingdom Lodge (amazing wine list!)
Remember, the best date nights at Disney aren’t about cramming in every experience or spending a fortune – they’re about creating those special moments together. Whether you’re watching fireworks from a fancy restaurant or sharing a Mickey pretzel on Main Street, it’s the company that makes it magical!

Even More Disney Date Night Ideas!
(Because you can never have too many options for romance at Disney World…)

- Take a horseback riding lesson at Tri-Circle-D Ranch (Book early morning for the best experience)
- Do a Disney Springs wine tasting at Wine Bar George (Ask about their wine education experiences)
Money-Saving Tip: Many of these activities can be done without a park ticket! Mix and match based on your budget and interests.
Booking Tip: For specialty experiences (like tours or classes), always call Disney Recreation to check current availability and pricing – these can change seasonally!
Timing Tip: Consider planning your special date night mid-week when crowds are typically lighter and reservations are easier to get!
Remember: Sometimes the most magical moments happen when you least expect them. Don’t over-schedule – leave room for spontaneous Disney magic! 💫
