Get ready for a spooktacular time at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom! Here are 13 facts about Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party that’ll make your visit extra magical:
- New Neon Nightmares: Mickey and Minnie are sporting brand-new neon spiderweb attire for 2024. Talk about glowing up for Halloween!
- Villainous Visitations: More Disney villains than ever before are lurking around the park. Keep your eyes peeled for these delightfully dastardly characters! The character spots are found on the maps, with up-to-date lists on MyDisneyExperience.

- A Madrigal Mystery: For the first time ever, Bruno Madrigal from “Encanto” will be joining Mirabel at Fairytale Garden. We don’t talk about Bruno… except at this party! It’s actually really cool to see how much press Bruno is getting!
- Treat Trail Treasures: Fill your trick-or-treat bag at spots like Columbia Harbour House, Gaston’s Tavern, and even near TRON Lightcycle / Run. Pro tip: The Market Street Welcome Trick-or-Treating closes at 8:00 PM, so start there! The big miss for this specifically is that QSR’s (like Gaston’s) close at 4pm or earlier than normal to allow for the team to set up the treat trails.

- Allergy-Friendly Adventures: Got food allergies? Pick up a teal-colored treat bag and collect teal tokens to redeem for special treats. It’s safe and fair for everyone. It’s also great to see how accessible the party is becoming for those with allergies!
- Parade of Peculiarities: The “Boo-To-You Halloween Parade” features Disney friends in costumes, Haunted Mansion residents, and villains galore. Don’t miss Minnie, Clarabelle, and Daisy dressed as the Sanderson Sisters! Pick a spot where you can see the ground…you’ll thank me when the Haunted Mansion butlers make their way past you.

- Hocus Pocus Hijinks: The Sanderson Sisters host the “Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular” on the Castle stage, joined by other villains for a wickedly fun show. It’s honestly a really cool show – OR you can take that chance to go and ride attractions. We’d always find less crowds at attractions like the Haunted Mansion, Tron Lightcycle or Tiana’s Bayou.
- Spectacular Spells in the Sky: Jack Skellington hosts “Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular,” a frighteningly fun fireworks show where Mickey and friends explore a haunted house. The best spot is at the area where the hub meets Main Street USA, as you get to see the stage and also the sky.

- Moonlight Melodies: Boogie at the Disney Jr. Jam, groove at the new DescenDANCE Party, or enjoy the spirited tunes of The Cadaver Dans and Rusty Cutlass.
- Frightful Flair on Favorites: Experience Space Mountain in total darkness, enjoy spooky lighting at Mad Tea Party, and laugh at Halloween jokes in Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor. We spent time with the Monsters Inc crew because it’s a great spot to hide from the rain!
- Boo-tiful Photo Ops: Disney PhotoPass photographers are ready to capture your ghostly memories, including special “Magic Shots” with supernatural surprises. Remember that you can always ask the photographers to grab photos with your iphone if you’re not using Memory Maker!

- Costume Celebration: Dress up in your Halloween best (following Disney’s guidelines, of course) and join the fun. You might even spot your favorite characters in their own “haunt-couture”! Our goal is more to “Disneybound”, as the heat can definitely make the real costumes uncomfortable.
- Devilish Dining: Sink your teeth into Halloween-themed treats like the Tombstone Tart, Bowl of Bones, or the Terrifyin’ Twice-Spiced Chicken Sandwich. Don’t forget to check out the party-exclusive merchandise too! This is our jam, so definitely check out the two main spots for merch (The Emporium and Star Traders). We didn’t really play with the treats, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t. Actually, I lied – we did enjoy the exclusive spicy beignets…those were great (a little messy).

Bonus Treat: The party runs on select nights from August 9 to October 31, 2024, from 7:00 PM to midnight. Ticket prices range from $119 to $199 (plus tax), with discounts available for Annual Passholders, Disney Vacation Club Members, and Cast Members on select nights. Our price for September 15th was $129, and tickets definitely sell out early, so plan in advance if you’re aiming to experience the most consistent halloween experience in the Kingdom.
Remember, you can enter the park as early as 4:00 PM with your party ticket, no additional theme park ticket or reservation required. So put on your costume, grab your treat bag, and get ready for a night of not-so-scary fun at the happiest haunting on Earth!
