How To Use Rakuten For your Disney Trip

People often ask: “This sounds too good to be true, how are you able to do it?”
It’s really quite simple. Just like almost every other online shopping site, Rakuten receives a commission from the stores when you make a purchase. Instead of keeping that money – they share it with you!

What is Rakuten?

Currently, Rakuten offers 3 easy ways to get yours Cash Back! You can opt to receive your Cash Back by Cheque, have payments sent directly to your Paypal account, or you can even send your Cash Back payments to a Charity/Organization/Family member or your choice!

You’ve come to the right place. Signing up for Rakuten is free; all you need is an email address.

Once you’ve signed up on the site and chosen a password, you’ll be logged in and on your way to earning Cash Back at your favourite online stores. Simply begin any online shopping you do by first visiting our site to browse all the stores and top brands available through Rakuten (Canada or USA)— with over 750 stores (CA) or 2000 (USA) to choose from you’re sure to find something that suits your needs. Once you settle on the store you’d like to shop at, click the red ‘Shop Now’ button to be taken to that store’s site. Shop as you normally would on the store’s site and Rakuten will track your purchase and deposit the Cash Back you’ve earned into your Rakuten account within a few days.

To save even more while shopping online, be sure to take advantage of all the coupons, deals and promo codes listed on Rakuten. There are new offers added to the site daily so be sure to check back often. You can search for coupons at specific stores or by store category such as electronics, department stores, or travel. You can also find valuable coupons by offer category such as free shipping, free gifts, Canadian stores, exclusive and parent approved deals. Combining Cash Back with coupons and promo codes is the ultimate way to shop smart online and keep your wallet happy!

Yes! Personally, I have been using this for well over 6 months and Rakuten has always been prompt about payments and never had any major issues. The customer service at Rakuten is top notch!

If you don’t want to take my word for it, you can take a look at their BBB rating, which is an A+. Rakuten has also been featured on major news outlets like the Wall Street Journal, The Talk, and CBS!

Let’s talk Disney!

Say you want to book a trip to Walt Disney World. Awesome!

Where do you start? Well if you think about booking through Expedia…well why not visit the Rakuten site first and then see if they have a promo code or cash back offer. Just doing that little step could save you real $$$!

I’m still discovering new websites that have partnerships with Rakuten, and the easiest way is the little chrome plugin that pops up when you can save money. Anytime I’m searching for new toys for my research trips (cameras, tshirts, hats, shiny things), the plugin actually automatically asks if you want to turn on the Rakuten feature when you’re checking out.

We didn’t even know it, but they also have a feature called “In Store Cash Back” (US only), which is definitely worth checking out!

Rakuten was incredibly easy to sign up for, and because I travel so much for the website, I was able to have a .com and .ca account for purchases in different countries.

All you have to do is visit and then sign up with your email and a password. It’s actually a brilliant way to make money off of spending money.

  1. In order to earn cash back, you 100% MUST first go to Rakuten before you complete your purchase.
  2. Just because you’ve shopped at a store in the past with Rakuten doesn’t mean you will earn rewards automatically. Visit Rakuten EVERY time you want to make a purchase online.
  3. Check your account or email to ensure you earn your cash back after every purchase. Keep in mind some stores take longer to process versus other. On average, give things around 24-48 hours, but there are some exceptions that will take longer.
  4. Note, if you return an item or cancel a purchase you will lose the cashback you earned for the purchase.

Do you use Rakuten? How much money have you been able to earn back so far?
Let me know your success story and what your fav stores are!
