Disney World Competitive Experiences — Games You Can Win

Being competitive while on vacation can be fun, especially when you know where to look at Walt Disney World.

Keeping score is becoming more and more important with guests, especially when you’re thinking about repeatability and re-rideability!

The goal for this article is to provide you with experiences that add an element of gaming and various features that allow you to win AND get better with extra knowledge.

It’s almost like they wanted to sell Wii games with this attraction…and it worked! From the levels to the gameplay which promotes coordination between players, Toy Story Mania allows you to compete against each other AND the game to get the highest score!

Becoming a Galactic Hero is the goal of everyone who rides Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin, and it’s all about hitting the right targets and not giving up!

The added bonus of being able to control your ride vehicle can either help or hinder your score, so know ahead of time who gets to spin the car…because success is in their hands.

CARNIVAL GAMES

Dinoland USA Carnival Games (Image: Dustin Fuhs)

From the Boardwalk to Dinoland USA, you’re able to put your money where your mouth is and compete against other guests for classic carnival prizes!

This one is a little more controversial because although they are fun to watch…it doesn’t really appeal to most because with the money that you spend on a game can be used to just go and buy the plush toy from the store;)

Past Opportunities

In the past, we’ve had a couple of things that would be perfect for this list, but as Disney World is constantly evolving and changing…they didn’t make the cut.

Test Track is undergoing a full re-imagining, so it’s probable that the competition factor will be missing from the new version. The other one was the Frontierland Shooting Gallery, which is hitting the ol’ dusty trail.

We’ll always keep an eye out for more things to bet Dole Whips on, but for now – Toy Story is definitely the best one!
