Fun Facts about Be Our Guest

When the New Fantasyland project was announced at the D23 Expo in 2009, the excitement hit a complete boiling point when Be Our Guest was introduced.

The opportunity to dine in the Beast’s Castle was a dream that so many fans of the films had imagined would never come true…and yet it was right there on the big screen.

Now that the restaurant is a “Must See” on any Disney World vacation, it’s time to revisit a few of the fun facts that make us marvel at the impressive restaurant that is Be Our Guest!

FRANK – THE STATUE(S)

The six stone figures on the bridge leading to the Be Our Guest Restaurant were all named “Frank” during the design phase and the name stuck.

KEEP YOUR ROSE ON YOUR TABLE AND THE FOOD WILL FIND YOU

“Magic Roses” are just another hidden secret of the functionality of Be Our Guest. When you place your during Lunch, a cast member will give you a rose. This rose attaches to your order via RFID, which is an electronic signal similar to that of your MagicBands, and allows for the servers to locate you in the dining room.

THE GOLIONS

The lion-like figures flanking the door at the entrance to Be Our Guest Restaurant were called “golions” by the design team because of the combination of goat and lion.

MUSIC BOX

At Be Our Guest Restaurant, the Rose Gallery is a dining room centered by a music box nearly 7 feet tall with a twirling Belle and the Beast.

THE CHANDELIER

The Centrepiece chandelier at Be Our Guest Restaurant measures more than 12 feet tall and 11 feet wide. It boasts more than 84 candles and more than 100 jewels that hang down.

NUMBER OF WINDOWS

There are 115 windows in the Beast’s Castle.

HIDDEN IMAGINEERS

In the Ballroom’s ceiling mural, you’ll find a number of “cherubs”. The faces of these baby angels are actually baby photos of Imagineers who worked on the project.
