Genie+ Reservations You Can Skip

Sharing information that you can actually use is what we’re all about here at Steps to Magic!

One of the topics that we get asked for information about is the Walt Disney World Genie+ reservation system. I’m more than happy to bring some light into a point that can actually save you stress and time on your vacation, so let’s play!

Genie+ Reservations You Can Skip

Just to start with, this list isn’t about mistakes. My goal is to share a number of experiences that you can skip due to a variety of factors that aren’t usually discussed.

MAGIC KINGDOM

With 25 Genie+ experiences, you can be picky on what is worth one of your three reservations.

You can skip:

  • The Barnstormer
  • Dumbo the Flying Elephant
  • Enchanted Tales with Belle
  • it’s a Small World
  • Mad Tea Party
  • The Magic Carpets of Aladdin
  • Meet Tinker Bell at Town Square Theatre
  • Mickey’s Philharmagic
  • Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor
  • Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid

Why?

Most of the list are open all day, which means that in the morning and at night…they are mostly walk-ons. With experiences like Monsters Inc and Philharmagic, the are huge capacity shows and you really don’t need to waste a reservation when it doesn’t give you a different view than guests without Genie+.

EPCOT

12 Experiences…basically you’re looking at a number of attractions that are being included when the priority is pretty clear.

You can skip:

  • Disney *  Pixar Short Film Festival
  • Journey into Imagination with Figment
  • Mission: Space
  • The Seas with Nemo
  • Spaceship Earth (Go mid-day or at night)
  • Turtle Talk with Crush

Why?

There’s really no argument for or against any of those experiences, as I’ve walked-on to each of them at random times of the day, so if it’s more about using all your reservations…go with your favs!

ANIMAL KINGDOM

One of my favorite theme parks in Orlando is the Animal Kingdom! I love the ability to completely escape reality, but also have a Starbucks within walking distance;) That being said, there are 13 attractions…so let’s have some fun.

You can skip:

Why?

There are a few awesome Genie+ reservations to get, like Expedition Everest and Kilimanjaro Safaris…it’s not worth wasting a reservation on something that you can walk-on OR wait under 30 minutes to experience.

DISNEY’S HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS

14 Attractions and two tiers, we’re getting set for Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge and Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway….so things will change 100% very soon!

You can skip:

  • Alien Swirling Saucers
  • Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage
  • Disney Junior Dance Party
  • A Frozen Sing-Along
  • Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular
  • MuppetVision 3D
  • Voyage of the Little Mermaid

Why?

It’s important to realize that the park’s dynamics are changing and every day is a new day:)
