At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, FastPass+ reservations can dramatically increase your ability to see more in less time through proper planning.
**Please note that attractions are added and subtracted from the FastPass+ roster throughout the year depending on crowds, refurbishments and other events that are out of our control.**
Disney Animal Kingdom FastPass Recommendations
WHAT IS FASTPASS+?
This is Walt Disney World’s reservation system, which allows for you to reserve your spot in line up to 60 days in advance of your vacation to Florida.
The program allows you to make 3 (three) FastPass+ reservations prior to your time in the park and add more (depending on the availability) once you’ve used the previous reservations.

DAK is similar to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, where they separate attractions into tiers, with Tier 1 getting one pick and two options from Tier 2. This is completely different than the Magic Kingdom, where all FastPass attractions are available in a single tier.

FUN FACTS
- Avatar Flight of Passage’s queue line has been known to hit 180+ minutes, so either get there at rope drop or expect a significant wait.
- Expedition Everest has a single rider line! If you don’t have an issue with riding this attraction in separate ride vehicles, this can save you a decent amount of time.
As with most FastPass recommendations, there really isn’t a wrong choice. That being said, at Animal Kingdom, there are a few bad choices.
Remember to choose your times as early in the day as possible, as the park is fairly quiet and will allow you to get a bunch of your bucket list done early!
