Best Use for Snacks Credits on the Disney Dining Plan

When coming up with this list, it was important to have fun and think outside the box. Yes, we’ve included some classics, but the goal was to provide a full spectrum of ideas for our readers to truly get the most out of their Snack Credits on the Disney Dining Plan!

LAST MINUTE CANDY BEFORE HEADING TO THE AIRPORT

Let’s be honest about snack credits. There is a really good chance that at the end of your vacation, you’ll have a few left over. I did, you did…we just forget about a few credits. This isn’t a bad thing. In fact, some of the best memories are sitting in front of the computer while editing photos from your vacation and snacking on a few Goofy Candy Co packaged delights.

FUNNEL CAKES

A funnel cake is a great option for snack credits due to the high price and amount of icing sugar that you get!

PASTRIES @ FRANCE

If I were to pinpoint a specific pastry, it would be a disservice to you. When you first step foot into the France pavilion at EPCOT, the goal is to follow your nose and get whatever floats your boat. I’m partial to anything with strawberries, but the goal may be to find the often discussed and never found Beignets!

CARAMEL TREATS @ GERMANY

EPCOT is home to so many amazing treats that it’s hard to pick just one. As you read above with my “follow your nose” guidance in France…this is a little more along the lines of getting the item (s) that look amazing! The quality is incredibly high and you will definitely not feel bad after this splurge.

LEFOU’S BREW AND CINNAMON ROLL @ GASTON’S TAVERN

When New Fantasyland opened back in 2012, there was a sneaking suspicion that a specialty drink at Gaston’s Tavern would be introduced to rival Butterbeer at Universal Studios Orlando. Well, the concoction created was LeFou’s Brew, a no-sugar added frozen apple juice with a hint of toasted marshmallow (which is actually fairly prominent towards the bottom of the drink), topped with a passion fruit-mango foam. From the recipe alone, it’s a lot of flavours packed into a single drink…but it works! The real question is “LeFou’s Brew or Dole Whip?” Also while you’re there don’t forget that Cinamon Roll!

ZEBRA DOMES

Zebra Domes are an incredible desert that is exclusive at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. It’s an Amarula Cream Liquor mousse encased in a panna cotta-esque white chocolate covering and drizzled with chocolate and chocolate shavings. The whole thing sits atop a thin cake base, which is basically music to my ears! You can find it at Mara (Counter-Service) or at Boma (Table Service Buffet). You know what my suggestion is;)

CANDY APPLES

Candy Apples are traditionally a hit-or-miss at county fairs or shopping malls. When you get one at the Walt Disney World however, the experience is so much more than an apple covered in caramel. Each snack is a complete work of art, made by cast members who are nothing short of masters in the discipline of making our mouths water! Most guests fall into the category of those who want to look and not eat, but the explosion of flavours in your mouth is just so much fun!

CUPCAKES

“A cupcake is just a cupcake”, said NO ONE! When you are planning out your snack credits, think long and hard about this one.

First off, a Disney cupcake is usually themed around a character, event or franchise. Next, a cupcake is meant to be eaten. Don’t feel bad about this…just go all in and apologize to the napkin and no one else!

Lastly, the tip which will actually get you more cupcakes than you could ever dream:

When you’re planning a Quick Service lunch/dinner, research if the location will give you cupcakes as a dessert option. It’s amazing how many QS locations will offer cupcakes instead of ice cream or fruit cups.

MICKEY’S PREMIUM ICE CREAM BAR

There is nothing more “Disney” than eating a Mickey’s Premium Ice Cream Bar in a Disney Park!

DOLE WHIP

The Dole Whip is by far my favourite item to use a snack credit on. In fact, there is nothing that I would like more as I’m writing this article…than a Dole Whip. If you are not a Dole Whip fan, it’s ok…you’re still a great person and we’ll never judge someone if they don’t like them.

That being said, spending time in Adventureland with a treat like this is by far and away my favourite activity in Walt Disney World.

My mouth is watering just looking at this picture! Plus I can’t get over the portion you get for this snack credit you can feed a family!
